About Peg
I've always been curious about what makes us tick.
Maybe you don’t need to become a completely different person.
Maybe you don’t need another complicated plan, more willpower, or someone telling you what you should be doing.
Maybe you just need to understand what’s getting in the way.
That belief is at the heart of everything I do.
I’m Peg Wedig, a coach, teacher, hypnotist, lifelong learner, and creator of practical tools designed to help people understand themselves better, get unstuck, and create meaningful change in their lives.
And if there’s one thing I’ve learned through all of it, it’s this:
Change gets a whole lot easier when you understand what’s actually going on underneath the surface.

I’ve always been fascinated by why we do what we do.
Why can we know exactly what we want—and still not do it?
Why can something feel completely possible one day and impossible the next?
Why do smart, capable people procrastinate, second-guess themselves, stay stuck in patterns they don't particularly like, or talk themselves out of things they genuinely want?
Those questions fascinate me.
My background began in education, and that teacher part of me has never really gone away. I love taking ideas that feel complicated, abstract, or overwhelming and turning them into something people can actually understand and use.
Over the years, that curiosity led me deeper into coaching, mindset work, hypnosis, behavior change, belief systems, and the many different ways our minds influence the lives we create.
But I wasn't interested in collecting theories just because they were interesting.
I wanted to know:
How do we actually use this stuff in real life?
Insight is wonderful. But it has to lead somewhere.
You can spend years understanding why you are the way you are.
You can journal about it. Talk about it. Read about it. Analyze it.
And still find yourself standing in exactly the same place.
That's why my work is built around practical self-understanding.
Not simply:
Why am I doing this?
But:
What is happening?
What is creating the friction?
What do I need right now?
And what do I do next?
Those questions eventually became the foundation for the tools and frameworks I created and use in my work today—including The Spiral, The Friction Finder and The Tool Box. Together, they create a way to understand where you are, figure out what’s actually getting in the way, and choose the right tool for moving forward.
The Spiral
A step-by-step framework to understand where you are, gain clarity, and move forward with intention.
The Friction Finder
A way to uncover what’s really getting in the way so you can stop spinning your wheels and create real momentum.
The Tool Box
Practical tools for the right situation at the right time—so you can coach yourself with greater confidence.
Because the answer isn't always "try harder."
Sometimes you need clarity.
Sometimes you need a new belief.
Sometimes you need information or a better process.
Sometimes you need to make a decision.
Sometimes you need to regulate your nervous system.
Sometimes you need to take action.
And sometimes?
You need to rest.
Knowing the difference matters.
Coaching shouldn't make you dependent on a coach.
I don't want you to need me forever.
I want you to get really good at coaching yourself.
I want you to recognize your own patterns. Question the stories your mind creates. Notice friction sooner. Understand what you need. Make decisions you trust. Experiment. Evaluate. Adjust.
And keep going.
That's also what excites me so much about the possibilities of AI.
Used thoughtfully, AI can make powerful coaching tools available in the exact moment you need them—not just during an appointment on someone's calendar.
That's why I'm developing the Peg Wedig AI Coach.
It combines technology with the frameworks and coaching processes I've spent years developing.
It isn't meant to replace human wisdom or human connection.
It's meant to help you access your own wisdom more often.

A little more about me
Because there's more to me than just frameworks.
I'm a Wisconsin girl who values freedom, family, friendship, curiosity and a life that actually feels good to live.
I'm endlessly interested in the mind and in the different ways we humans try to understand ourselves. I can happily wander through conversations about psychology, mindset, hypnosis, spirituality, personality, beliefs, behavior, identity and why people do the wonderfully strange things we do.
I'm also practical.
If an idea sounds beautiful but doesn't help you on a random Tuesday afternoon when you're avoiding the thing you promised yourself you'd do, I'm probably going to keep digging.
I don't believe there is one perfect philosophy, tool or way to create change.
I believe in:
Believing in big dreams.
Curiosity over judgment.
Experimentation over perfection.
Progress over performance.
Trusting yourself.
You don't have to have it all figured out.
You just need to know what you want.
(And sometimes that starts with knowing what you don't want.)
Then we can get curious about what's standing between here and there.
That's the work I love.
Not fixing you.
Not reinventing you.
Not turning you into someone that someone else thinks you're supposed to be.
But rather, making you more of who you want to be.
Helping you understand yourself well enough so that you can create more of the life you actually want.
That's the work I do.
That's the work we do.
Together.
Real Tools. Real Progress. A Brighter You.
